20 Best Restaurants For Valentine's Day

Lifestyle

It’s that time of the year where you can make your loved ones feel special. What better way than taking them out for a pleasant meal? Insert beautiful ambient light and some cheesy eye stares, cut to a sloppy kiss or hugs to end the night.

I love exploring new places and in a city like Bombay, where new places are opening up every week its hard to keep up with that exhausting list on Zomato & of all days, you definitely don’t want to goof up on V-day.

Hence, I have curated a list of restaurants you can take your valentine to, based on food, ambience and service.

1. Cin Cin: Absolutely love the ambience and food. They have a chill seating area outside which becomes very romantic in the evening but dearies do watch out for mosquitoes.

Location: Bandra Kurla Complex

Cuisine: Italian

2. The Tasting Room: The tasting room has been one of my favourites since a couple of years. The hype still doesn’t die down despite Lower Parel being populated with a gazillion snazzy places. Its well curated decor, with just right music and a good dessert – your night can not get better.

Location: Lower Parel

Cuisine: European, Salad

3. Nara Thai: They have some innovative, colourful dishes which are quite yum. It has two sections, open area outside and an AC section inside. I suggest you sit outside, as the weather is pleasant and breezy, different than the regular Mumbai fine dines.

Location: Bandra Kurla Complex

4. Umame: Nice swank restaurant, which offers quality food and insane desserts (yes ladies those big bang theory videos are from here). This is one of the places you simply cant get enough of, especially if you’re a sushi person. Make sure you try their sushi boat and tiramisu dessert.

Location: Churchgate

Cuisine: Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean

5. Yauatcha: Ofcourse it shouldn’t come as a shocker that it made it to my list because the food is delicious even after visiting it the 100th time – quality never compromised. I’d recommend getting a table on the side since it gets very noisy in the evening. Do not forget to try some cocktails & eye celebrities just casually walking in and out.

Location: Bandra Kurla Complex

Cuisine: Asian, Cantonese, Chinese, Tea, Yum Cha

6. Silver Beach Café: It is the first place that comes to my mind when someone asks me to suggest a place for a date. The ambience is cosy and the food is amazing. And obvious choice for couples since they have a special deal on Valentine’s day – every glass of Chandon for your loved one, you get one on-the-house.

7. AB Celestial: Yes that sweet ride you see crossing sea link, this is it! If you are willing to go overboard with your budget to make your date feel special then this is a perfect place for Valentine’s Day. It is a floating restaurant, which has a spectacular view of the city. I suggest you go a little early so you don’t miss the sunset and enjoy Mumbai showing off its colours and fab weather this week.

12. Mirchi and Mime & Madeira and Mime: Ofcourse, Powai represent – had to show off my neighbourhood as well. What makes these places unique than other restaurants are the staff, who are deaf and dumb. The menu is designed in a way that you need to use sign language to order, but boy that doesn’t stop them from pulling your dates leg or just laughing along with you.

Location: Powai

Cuisine: North Indian, Mughlai, South Indian, Finger food, Continental, Café, Italian

Any aviation enthusiasts? You’ll will spot one every 10 minutes due to its close proximity to the airport.

14. A Bar Called Life: I absolutely love the interiors of this place. It’s a massive place, which used to be called Villa 69. The open roof area is the best for a pre dinner romantic vibe. Interesting thing about this place is that they follow a “Drinks Timetable” so if you go early the cost of drinks will be less compared to late evenings.
